Overview
The brand new Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) qualification is a mandatory requirement to train and assess nationally recognised courses within the workplace or within a training organisation. This online course is rich, vibrant, engaging and of the highest standards of excellence, making it one of the most exciting training and assessment courses available.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment course will provide you with the skills to confidently train groups and individuals, as well as the knowledge to develop assessment tools. Additionally, you will learn how to conduct training and assessment evaluations, lead a team that fosters innovation, and develop TAA organisational policies and procedures, manage contracted work and people and how to recruit, select and induct staff.
This qualification is delivered online providing you with the flexibility to complete the training when and where you wish. You will be fully supported throughout the learning process by qualified trainers from Accredited Online Training (AOT), Australia's leading provider of online qualifications.

Course Content
On completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Read and interpret qualification rules and determine licensing requirements and prerequisites;
- Tailor units of competency and package units into a qualification to meet a clients training needs;
- Determine and confirm delivery strategies and required assessment methods and tools;
- Review complete learning programs with key stakeholders and adjust as required;
- Prepare learning plans and identify and assess constraints and risks to delivery;
- Identify language, numeracy and literacy requirements of a learning program and the characteristics of the target learner audience;
- Conduct work according to organisational quality assurance policies and procedures;
- Use available information and documentation to identify group and individual learner needs and characteristics;
- Plan, organise and facilitate training sessions within a workplace;
- Assess a learners competence;
- Support and monitor learning;
- Participate in assessment validation.

All assessments are conducted online and you will receive feedback from your assessor within 48 hours (except when there is a Public Holiday). Holistic or major assessments may take up to seven days. Assessments may include multiple choice and/or short answer questionnaires, portfolios, case studies, and in some cases video and/or workplace based evidence may also be required.

Duration
The total nominal hours for this course are 305 hours. This should include completing both the online training module and the associated formal assessment component.

Recognition of Prior learning (RPL) is the acknowledgement of the skills and knowledge that you have gained through previous studies, work and life experiences. If RPL is granted, this will mean that you will not have to complete the study or assessments for a unit or units of competency. Please read the student handbook for more information.
