Overview

This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to manage a range of meetings including overseeing the meeting preparation processes, chairing meetings, organising the minutes and reporting meeting outcomes. This unit applies to individuals employed in a range of work environments who are required to organise and manage meetings within their workplace, including conducting or managing administrative tasks in providing agendas and meeting material. They may work as senior administrative staff or may be individuals with responsibility for conducting and chairing meetings in the workplace.

This qualification is delivered online providing you with the flexibility to complete the training when and where you wish. You will be fully supported throughout the learning process by qualified trainers from Accredited Online Training (AOT), Australia's leading provider of online qualifications.

Course Content

On completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Prepare for meetings;
  • Conduct meetings;
  • Follow up meetings.

All assessments are conducted online and you will receive feedback from your assessor within 48 hours (except when there is a Public Holiday). Holistic or major assessments may take up to seven days. Assessments may include multiple choice and/or short answer questionnaires, portfolios, case studies, and in some cases video and/or workplace based evidence may also be required.

Duration

Maximum nominal hours: 20

Maximum 3 months access to online course (approx. 10-20 hours to complete each unit). This should include completing both the online training module and the associated formal assessment component.

How to gain your qualification faster?
Recognition of Prior learning (RPL) is the acknowledgement of the skills and knowledge that you have gained through previous studies, work and life experiences. If RPL is granted, this will mean that you will not have to complete the study or assessments for a unit or units of competency. Please read the student handbook for more information.
