Overview

The Certificate IV in Small Business Management will help you shape your dreams of running your own business into rock-solid reality, acting as a guide for each step of the way. This course is especially designed for those who already operate or are intending to operate a small business. It is also useful for senior employees, primary producers, trade professionals, bookkeepers, and anyone else who needs to learn entrepreneurial skills.

This qualification is delivered online providing you with the flexibility to complete the training when and where you wish. All assessments are conducted online and you will receive feedback from your assessor within 48 hours (except when there is a Public Holiday). Holistic or major assessments may take up to seven days. Assessments may include multiple choice and/or short answer questionnaires, portfolios, case studies, and in some cases video and/or workplace based evidence may also be required.

Maximum nominal hours: 473
Full-time load: 12hrs/wk
Full-time duration: 39 weeks

Maximum 12 months access to online course (approx. 10-20 hours to complete each unit). This should include completing both the online training module and the associated formal assessment component.

How to gain your qualification faster?
Recognition of Prior learning (RPL) is the acknowledgement of the skills and knowledge that you have gained through previous studies, work and life experiences. If RPL is granted, this will mean that you will not have to complete the study or assessments for a unit or units of competency. Please read the student handbook for more information.
