How to nominate online

Nominations for 2011 are now open!

Core nomination criteria
The following core nomination criteria apply to all award categories except the Patron’s Award*. An individual or team can nominate themselves and/or someone from their organisation depending on the award category criteria.

* The Patron’s Award is open only to individuals; self nomination is not permitted, and the nominee need no longer be working in the public sector (or may be retired).

All nominees must:

  1. be a Queensland resident; and
  2. be currently working in the public sector in Queensland or have worked in the sector during the preceding financial year.

All nominations must comply with the conditions of entry and include:

  1. a referral from your direct line manager and a signed endorsement from a relevant senior executive or manager from your organisation (except for the Patron's Award). This can be emailed in addition to your Supporting Documents.
  2. a 250 word summary of the project, initiative or program including key outcomes and achievements;
  3. a high resolution JPEG or GIF portrait photo of the nominee or team (up to 1MB in size) (optional);
  4. a three (3) page response statement to the relevant category criteria; and
  5. up to two (2) supporting documents no longer than five (5) pages each (optional). 

Please note: The awards judges reserve the right to move an award nomination to a more appropriate category if they deem it necessary.

Online Nomination Process
To create your online nomination:

  • To set up a new account, click the ‘Create New Nomination Account’ link and enter your details. You will receive a confirmation email with your login and password details.
  • Once you have set up a nomination account, you can log in and edit your nomination as many times as you wish up to 5pm Friday 15 July 2011. If you are submitting more than one nomination, you can do this using the same account details.
  • Follow these simple steps to complete your online nomination:
    1.    Create your nomination details in Submit a Nomination tab
    2.    Upload your 250 word summary. You may upload a photo also (optional)
    3.    Upload your response statement in Manage my Nominations tab
    4.    Email any supporting documents to awards@qld.ipaa.org.au (optional)

Nomination Tips
You may submit as many nominations as you wish in your account. If you would like to enter a project in more than one category, please ensure you submit a separate nomination for each category.

At any time you can log in and edit your nomination details, summary and response statement in the Manage my Nominations tab. You can also change your Nomination Account password or contact details when you are logged in.

Nominations Close
Nominations for 2011 will close at 5.00pm on 15 July 2011.
