Overview

Regardless of whether there is a change of government at the next State election or just a change of faces on the front bench there is a need for Senior Public Servants to consider how best to interface with the new environment. Even if the broad policy platform doesn’t change there will doubtless be the need for the State Public Service to adapt to some change of focus. If the Government changes altogether, then that adaptation will need to be much more agile.

This Masterclass explores the techniques, the pitfalls and the opportunities surrounding the development of new Permanent Head/Ministerial relationships and the impacts on other stakeholders of the success or failure of key participants in the policy formulation and execution process to establish and sustain strong and constructive rapport.
