Overview

This one-day experiential learning course will give you the knowledge, skills and attitude to successfully negotiate outcomes within your work, recreation and home environments. It will cover trust and rapport, processes, behaviours, and the effect of emotions on your outcomes. Importantly, this course will provide practical exercises that will challenge you, cause you to question your current practices, give you the chance to observe how others negotiate, and provide you with some valuable take-away tools to use in your workplace. Be prepared to take responsibility for your behaviours and let go of excuses and blame. Above all, expect to learn while having fun in a supportive and non-threatening environment.

Course Content

The course defines negotiation, provides a framework for success, and outlines the processes for effective negotiation. It then focuses on key elements such as rapport-building, communication skills and how to negotiate in everyday life. Using practical situations and activities, participants will be given many opportunities to master the art of negotiation.
