Overview

Day 1 of a unique three day series uses systems thinking as a basis for a powerful new approach to risk management. Systemic risk management challenges the status quo and provides new thinking, methods and tools for risk leaders.

Course Content

Day 1 commences with a first-principles review of the attributes of organisational risks and a comparison of these with current risk management practice. New risk terms are defined and the nature of risk leadership is explored. Ways for finding and identifying organisational risks are presented and these are also practiced live. Part of Day 1 is dedicated to the concepts and practice of risk mapping, including the use of risk maps to assist in treatment identification. The day concludes with a session dealing with risk dialogue and how this is linked to culture, beliefs and leadership practice. The nature of strategic risk management and its link to internally generated risks is also discussed.
