Overview
Systemic Risk Analysis builds upon Day 1, to consider multiple organisational risks together as a single whole system. This is the key to optimisation of risk responses as a whole, and enables leaders to focus their efforts on shared root causes rather than working on risks one at a time. The new tools covered include Risk Relationships Matrices and Risk Treatment Pattern Analysis.
Course Content
Day 2 commences with a series of new ways to use mapping to enhance the understanding of risk inter-relationships and root causes, including ways to demonstrate the link between organisational culture and strategic risk. Risk prioritisation methods are compared and an alternative approach to the prioritisation of risk work is described. The major part of Day 2 introduces Systemic Risk Analysis as a powerful method for optimising risk responses as a whole. Risks Relationships Analysis is explained and practiced, as is Risk Treatment Pattern Analysis. This part of the day concludes with a session on the synthesis of risk analysis outcomes to create clear, optimised strategies for the management of risk. The last part of the day deals with different applications for Systemic Risk Analysis at the operational, strategic and Board of Governance level.
