Overview
This intensive course covers four key aspects of communication. If you’ve ever agonised over how to give feedback, fretted over how to start a difficult conversation, worried about a presentation, or wondered why other people seem to have no trouble getting the point across, then this session is for you. The tips and techniques are tried and true, the approaches are challenging but rewarding, and the activities are practical and tailored to your needs. Whether it’s all new to you, or you just want a refresher on your existing skills, this course can give you the edge.
Course Content
The content for this course is in four parts. The first focuses on the knack of giving effective feedback, specifically the practical skills required to improve performance, increase comfort and understanding, and generate trust. The second deals with challenging conversations. When we don’t know where to start or what to say, small annoyances become big events. This session provides the skills to prevent that from happening. The third is aimed at improving presentation skills. It shows how to approach the task differently and achieve good presentations. The last part shares the secrets of getting a message across well.
