Prof Helen Simons, BA PhD DipEd PGCE

Don’t miss an opportunity to attend this comprehensive workshop with international speaker, renowned academic and author Professor Helen SimonsAcSS FRSA.

Case study evaluation is a prominent feature of evaluation of public programs, yet practice and quality of case study evaluation can vary greatly and we still have much to learn about how to conduct and use them effectively to inform policy making and practice.

This one day workshop will focus on the value of case study methodology for documenting complex social and educational programmes. It will cover the following:
  • how to design case study evaluations
  • different forms and contexts of use
  • conduct ethically defensible case studies in sensitive evaluation socio/political contexts
  • ensure that the final case study is rigorous, valid and credible
  • an overview of how to analyse and interpret case study data, and reporting findings so they are effectively utilised

Participants are invited to bring data from ongoing or completed case study evaluations they have conducted or been involved with to share and develop in the workshop.
